Once mature enough they are then blended to produce Special Reserve.^[8] Oct 2008 Crown Royal Special Reserve was re-launched as Crown Royal Reserve using the same bottle as the Special Reserve with a new label and packaging. Reserve is the “Whiskey of Choice” at the historic Wabatong Lodge a popular stepping off point in the ghost town of Lochalsh Ontario, a stop on the Canadian Pacific railroad.
